Leslie dual speed Tremolo Unit - 10" ROTATING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - made 1969

$50.00

For Sale: This speaker assembly was removed from a vintage home organ.

This speaker works well on both speeds however it when you go to switch from slow to fast speed you have to manually move the shaft or it won't start rotating. This seems to be a common issue with some Leslie organ assemblies. There is or should be a little spring on the shaft of the slow motor to assist with the speed change sometimes you can adjust these by stretching them a bit. Sometimes if you change assembly position from vertical to horizontal or vice versa this will solve the speed change issue to to gravity assisting.  I did not oil or attempt to adjust this so might be an easy fix.  In the organ the this was mounted vertically if you are using horizontally might be fine but forgot to try it that way.

Both motors work fine. Slow is nice and smooth, fast is fine but is a little noisier.  Might just need belt adjusting, did not try that.

The speaker is a 10" Foster ceramic magnet made in Japan and sounds good, no issues. Made in 1976.  These Electro Music made assemblies almost always came with 8" drivers so this is a pretty rare model. You could easily upgrade the speaker to a high power guitar speaker if that's what you are going to use this for.
