For Sale: Complete matching Dell Dimension 2400 desktop computer set from around 2003 with a Dell 15" flat screen monitor, Dell PS/2 keyboard, Dell ball mouse, and color coordinated Harman Kardon speakers.

This was just restored with Windows 98SE in December 2024. All available Windows security patches and updates have been installed as well as third party utilities and useful programs like Media Player Classic, video codecs, Direct X, etc.

Since this is being sold for retro gaming I tested with a bunch of games from the late 1990's to early 2000's. See the end of the listing for a partial list of games that were tested on this PC and are working with good video and audio. I installed some shareware and abandonware games. NES and SNES emulators, arcade games, Atari, etc. etc. All were working with no or very few issues. Microsoft Office 97 (Word, Excel, Access, etc) is installed as well.

Here is YouTube demo video to show bootup and gameplay:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6Jjzf7jY8E

This has working Windows 98 drivers for the motherboard - video, audio, and ethernet. 3D games like Unreal Tournament and Quake III run very smoothly in my opinion. The 5.25" DVD drive and the 5.25" CD burner are both working well- no disc read errors. Sometimes the DVD tray will not open on the first try, can probably use a new belt. The 3.5" floppy drive has been fully tested and works well. There are 3 PCI slots for trying different audio and video cards. The 6 USB ports are all working and they recognize mass storage devices like USB sticks, external hard drives, etc -they need to be formatted in FAT or FAT32 as Win 98 does not recognize NFTS formatted drives.

Computer tower shows very little wear, is clean, and nothing is damaged. Fans are not loud. BIOS battery is good, BIOS updated to latest version available. Mouse and keyboard and speakers are working well.

NOTE: the Dell monitor has some scratches on the screen, for the most part these are not noticable at all when playing a game. Color is sharp, can get nice and bright, no apparent bad pixels or issues.
