Sound quality is excellent and I detect no distortion, good bass, good highs thanks to wizzer cone extension. Cone has no rips, tears,or holes. Chromed metal frame, quite heavy and high quality construction. Comes with or without vintage cabinet designed to mount flush to wall.
I am offering this one at a lower cost because when I manually push down on the cone I can hear a little noise at a certain point. I don't feel any rubbing just hear something. It may need work to be 100%. That being said when this was tested side by side with the other SP12 I could not tell them apart audibly and I checked on a wide range of music types and at all different volume levels.
I believe this is rated 16 ohm impedance and I got approx. 8.5 ohms DC resistance on my inexpensive meter. This is the original SP12 driver not the later SP12B or SP12C. Think it was used in the Marquis speakers.
