For Sale:  Tested and working classic fully automatic direct drive stereo turntable with super smooth operation. Made in Japan around 1978.

This table has some minor cosmetic issues and is missing the dust cover hinges as well as two original switch covers but is working 100%, no issues. The cartridge is an Audio Technica cart marked "Japan" and the stylus is new Pfanstiehl 697-D7 made in Switzerland, less than 5 minutes play time on it for testing only.

YouTube videos of the turntable being tested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRrkCBBzqF4 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDusLgN5HUE  (videos do not show the new needle)

This is a fully automatic turntable so to play an album you just move the Stop Start button over to Start. The platter starts turning, the tonearm raises, moves to first track, gently lowers, and album plays. At the end of the album the tonearm automatically raises up, returns to holder, and either powers off or repeats depending on where the Memo-Repeat switch is set.  If it's set to Zero it shuts off, if it's set to a higher number it repeats and the switch moves down one number automatically. Works reliably every single time, no issues.

Overall the turntable is in pretty nice shape. The dust cover has a small chip out of one hinge holder (see photo) but will not effect operation. Otherwise no chips or cracks are evident, minor surface wear that can be buffed out if you want.  On the plinth there is a little black plastic residue in the back near the 45 RPM adapter holder (see photo). It's not bad...

The original memo-repeat switch cover and the original cueing switch cover were missing when found so I've included 4 extra non original switch covers. The small black covers look the best but are not a tight fit, the larger white covers are a good fit and make it easy to switch but don't look that great. You should be able to pick up the original covers from someone parting out this table online.

Both 33 and 45 RPM speeds are working well as are the pitch controls. Strobe is working and speed is nice and steady. The size adjust works correctly and will cause the tonearm to drop in the correct place for 7", 10", and 12" vinyl records.
